Day 1
Depart Colombo early morning. Visit Dambulla Cave Temple in afternoon when cooler.
Day 2
Start at 6:30 AM to avoid heat. 1,200 steps to summit. Bring water.
Day 3
Rent a bicycle to explore the expansive site comfortably.
Day 4
Best time for elephant gathering is 3:00-6:00 PM during dry season.
Day 5
Dress modestly (cover shoulders and knees). Remove shoes at sacred sites.
Day 6
Long drive day. Break journey with Yapahuwa if interested in more history.
Day 7
Adjust schedule based on departure flight time.
